Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between what you offer in Pre Employment Testing and Annual Health Monitoring?
Pre Employment testing is done before you employ someone. It helps the business owner make their decision on employment. It considers the physical requirements of the job. This can be quite a comprehensive assessment. This can provide a baseline assessment for annual health monitoring if the person gets the job.
Annual Health monitoring helps the business owner understand if their workplace hazards/risks are affecting employees health. Action can be taken sooner rather than later to fix these and support staff. These are done once a year.
Can you come to our work site or do we come to you?
We can come to your worksite however there are some basics which are required - (see the next question). Off-site testing can be done in Whangarei, Kerikeri, Ngawha and Kaitaia at specific locations. There will be an extra cost to hire these venues, they are central to the town, private and have good parking.
What do you need so you can do health monitoring onsite?
A private room is essential to do the health monitoring. It must have power and a stable internet connection, a table and a minimum of 2 chairs. It will need to be in a quieter area of your work site and be a minimum of 3 metres long. These help with hearing and vision testing.

A parking space close to the testing room for the nurse and all the gear to unload and load.
We will also need the name and contact details of the person in charge of organising staff for health monitoring onsite that day.
Can the health assessments be tailored to our business needs?
Yes, most definitely. You will let us know your health hazards and risks before testing so we can make sure the appropriate tests are included. Health monitoring should be all about what the actual and potential health hazards/risks are to your staff.
Do you have a recall system where you will contact us next year when we are due our next annual health monitoring?
Yes we do. We will contact you 3 months before your next annual health monitoring is due to allow you time to plan this around your work load and book in appointment times.

What are the payment options?
Option 1 - 50 % payment on booking then 50% payment once the assessments are completed.
Option 2 - Full payment up front when the assessments are booked.
What are the costs per person?
Annual Health Monitoring starts from $135.00 per person excluding travel costs.
Pre Employment Testing starts from $185.00 includes drug testing, excludes travel costs.
Venue hire charges will apply if off site testing is done.
